All sheds are made to order only and made to a personalised specification
Base requirements
Sheds can only be assembled on a prepared hard level base, for example: flags or concrete which should be absolutely level & square. Bearers can be used but the site must be firm & within 25mm of level if base is bigger than shed, bearers should always be used.
Where a base has been ordered from us the base site must be clear of plants and any obstacles. Base can only be sited within 300mm of level. All dig out debris will be left at your premises
Upon abortive installation, the product can be left for self-assembly by the customer, but the erection service fee shall be retained to account for the abortive labour costs. The product can be left until the customer can provide an appropriate base, at which point a return erection visit can be arranged upon payment of an additional charge.
Delivery
Product delivery (supply only) shall be to kerbside or driveway only. It is the customer’s responsibility to help or provide a capable person to help the driver unload. If this is not possible a surcharge will be made to cover expense of a helper for the driver. The Company is not liable for delivery delays or failures caused by factors outside of The Companies control including adverse weather conditions, road accidents, vehicle breakdown or personal illness
Accessibility
It is the customer’s responsibility to provide unobstructed access for product fitting services. We require an adequate clearance area to the proposed base and working area (if you are unsure please ask a member of staff at point of order) please note that we are not able to carry buildings over fences, walls garages and other similar obstacles this is in compliance of health & safety rules. Should a revisit be required due to an unsuitable access a surcharge will be imposed & payment required prior to Re-delivery. All parking restrictions or permits required must be obtained by you before our arrival
After care
All buildings are base coat treated prior to delivery with an anti-fungicidal treatment & will require a top coat of treatment (we suggest a minimum of two coats of Sadolin classic or Sadolin superdec)
Top coats applied by us must be maintained in line with manufacture recommendations, and should be reapplied as often as necessary. Sadolin super deck applied by us as an option will consist of two coats applied directly to bare wood we do not use primers or knotting agents. There can be some discolouration and resin leakage this is due to wood being a natural product. All inward opening door requested by customer are at their own risk. We do not offer any guarantee against water ingression. All windows & glazed doors are fully beaded, but we do not seal any glazing this is left for self-finish. This is because there will be settlement with a timber building.
Roof coverings
We supply all buildings with standard 20kg green mineral felt unless otherwise stated or other has been requested. When your shed is erected by us felt is tacked finished only, unless otherwise requested. Felt can wrinkle after fitting due to expansion and shrinkage due to weather conditions.
Construction
Whilst every care has been taken to select the best grades of timber to construct your building, timber being a natural product does shrink, split, warp expand, and resin can seep and discolour certain coatings, knots may fall out according to weather and temperature changes. We are unable to offer any guarantee on any natural products as this is outside our control. All off the buildings we sell are sheds if we offer to line and insulate your shed it is still a shed which is not covered by planning or building regulation. Our sheds are not designed or implied to be fit for a certain purpose, other than being a shed. We only offer sheds for sale.
Payment terms
We require a £100 non-refundable deposit with order. final payment is due when we start manufacture of your building. We accept cash and direct bank payments only.
